I am a trans masculine artist motivated by a deep love for the queer community and a compulsion to reflect on and document gender diversity and non-conformity. My work draws inspiration from 1970s pop art and the vibrant New York art scene of that era, even as I create from rural Kansas. I primarily work with acrylic paint and found materials, layering references from photography, popular culture, and queer history to explore identity, visibility, and transformation. My day job in refugee resettlement deepens my commitment to marginalized communities, and this ethos carries into my art. Each piece is a negotiation between homage and reinvention, a space to honor the complexity of lives that resist categorization, and a celebration of resilience, visibility, and self-expression.
